Rome Health is excited to announce the expansion of its cardiac diagnostic services with the addition of two advanced imaging exams: CT Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring and Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Amyloidosis Imaging. These cutting-edge tests will enhance our ability to detect and diagnose heart disease at earlier stages, offering patients in our community improved access to cardiovascular care.
CT Coronary Artery Calcium Scoring is a non-invasive imaging test that measures the amount of calcium buildup in the coronary arteries. This exam provides valuable insights into a patient’s risk for coronary artery disease, helping to guide preventative care and treatment strategies before symptoms develop. This exam is currently offered on a self-pay basis of $125, payable at time of services.
Nuclear Medicine Cardiac Amyloidosis Imaging is a specialized diagnostic test that detects amyloid protein deposits in the heart. Cardiac amyloidosis is a serious condition that can lead to heart failure if left undiagnosed. With this advanced imaging capability, Rome Health can now offer early detection and improved management options for patients at risk. This exam is reimbursable by insurance.
“At Rome Health, we remain committed to expanding access to high-quality, state-of-the-art healthcare close to home,” said John Restivo, MD, Medical Director of Medical Imaging at Rome Health. “The addition of these two imaging exams reflects our dedication to enhancing cardiac care and ensuring our patients receive the best possible diagnostic and treatment options.”
Russell Silverman, MD, Medical Director of Cardiology at Rome Health, added, “Cardiology and Radiology have worked very closely to bring the highest quality of cardiovascular care to the Rome Community. These new cardiac imaging services represent an advancement in our ability to detect and manage heart disease. Together we will continue to improve the level of cardiac diagnostic and treatment for our patients. We are proud to bring this technology to Rome Health and to our patients”
These new cardiac exams are now available at Rome Health Monday – Friday. For more information or to schedule an appointment, please contact your provider.
