Rome Health is proud of our not-for-profit mission and recognizes that there are times when patients will have difficulty paying for the services provided. Rome Health's financial assistance program provides discounts to qualifying individuals based on your income. In addition, we can help you apply for free or low-cost insurance if you qualify.
Financial assistance is available to individuals who have received or are going to receive emergency or medically necessary care at Rome Health. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay. There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.

The amount of discount varies based on your income and the size of your family. Rome Health discounts patient accounts up to 100% depending on family income in comparison to the federal poverty level. Please see our policy for specific guidelines and exclusions.
How Do I Apply For a Discount?
You may download a copy of our financial assistance application by clicking here.You will need to provide proof of income, such as a copy of pension and/or Social Security check, pay stub or W-2 form. If you cannot provide any of these, you may still be able to apply for financial assistance.

You have up to 240 days after receiving your first post discharge billing statement to submit the application.
As soon as we have proof of your income, we can process your application. You can apply for a discount before you have an appointment, when you come to the hospital to get care, or when the bill comes in the mail.
Payment Plan
Even if patients don’t qualify for financial assistance, Rome Health will work with you to develop an extended payment plan. When people are having difficulties paying their bills, the most important thing for you to do is contact the Business Office to explore your options.
