Kaplan Center for Surgical Service and Intensive Care Unit taking Shape at Rome Health

The summer has flown by and a great deal of progress has been made on the Kaplan Center for Surgical Services and the Intensive Care Unit at Rome Health. What was once just a shell has progressed into a structure that is really starting to take shape.

The exterior of the building has seen the most progress where at the start of the 2024 land was leveled, concrete was poured and steel was being swung around to create the bones of the surgical center. Now as October 2024 is here, we can see the outside is starting to look complete and take shape.

As you tour the inside of Kaplan Center for Surgical Center you are starting to see the hallways being laid out and some of the surgical rooms being set up with electrical and plumbing.

The Intensive Care Unit located on the second floor of the new structure, is having the electrical and plumbing being installed as well. But as you look you can see the individual rooms being laid out and the nurses stations which are right outside of the rooms to monitor the patients.

Lastly, the front lobby and new entrance to Rome Health which faces North James Street is coming together well. The old entrance was taken down in early spring and during the summer new concrete has been poured, stairs have been installed along with a wheelchair ramp and the outside structure is having the concrete sealed to protect it from the outside elements.
