Rome Health expands gastroenterology services with new GI specialist, new procedures and weekend appointments

Rome Health is pleased to announce the expansion of its gastroenterology services with the addition of board-certified gastroenterologist, Dr. W. Asher Wolf, M.D., to Rome Health Gastroenterology. He will begin seeing patients after Memorial Day. With his addition, Rome Health will offer weekend appointments for colonoscopies, providing greater accessibility and convenience for patients. Dr. Wolf has expertise in performing advanced procedures, including ERCP and EUS.

Rome Health is excited to announce the hiring of Family Nurse Practitioner, Julie Barker-Nagel, MS, RN, FNP-BC. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016. She is now accepting patience at Rome Health Primary Care located on the main campus of Rome Health.

RN Transition to Practice Program earns accreditation

Rome Health’s RN Transition to Practice Program (TTP) has earned accreditation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation in Practice Transition Programs (CAPTP). Under the leadership of Transitions to Practice Coordinator McKayla Turnbull, MSN, RN, this comprehensive program is designed to support newly licensed registered nurses (RNs) as they transition from the classroom to clinical practice.
