Rome Health Welcomes New Family Nurse Practitioner
Rome, NY – Rome Health is excited to announce the hiring of Family Nurse Practitioner, Julie Barker-Nagel, MS, RN, FNP-BC. She has been a Family Nurse Practitioner since 2016. She is now accepting patients at Rome Health Primary Care located on the main campus of Rome Health.
Barker-Nagel grew up in the Rome area her whole life and attended SUNY POLY where she graduated and received her Bachelor's degree and two masters degrees in Nursing Administration and Family Nurse Practitioner.
“I love taking care of people.” she said; “I love listening to their stories, and getting to know them on a personal level and I feel that is very important when you’re providing care to someone.”
Returning to the area, Barker-Nagel is excited to be joining Rome health and to continue to do what she loves most; providing care to the community and getting to know her patients and help them in their medical needs. “When you are providing care to someone, to understand who they are as a person behind just what you see.”
